I'm not a Kelly Clarkson fan by any stretch of the imagination but I think she did really well with this. It needs a bit more feeling and less vocal exercises though.
All i can say is wow. She also has covered Pink's Perfect. Annie lennox is a true diva as well as pink & they can both sing. Kelly sis an amazing job & is right up there with Annie lennox, Pink, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey Ect. Kelly did an Amazing job on this & i wish she would put out a Live cd of all the Covers.

And that's with no disrespect to Kelly because she is my favourite artist...I just think to really make it "better" than Annie Lennox' version, she would have had to change it more. You can not compare this to Lennox, because it is not Kelly's song it's Annie's. Annie has a vast soul, kelly does not. Kelly could only "cover" a song like this (and that's jumping in some deep water) she could not come up with that on her own, no matter how well she can sing.

kelly just made it her own she didn't try to immitate 'annie lenox' they are diffrent types of singers so you can't really compare. If kelly's version was the orignal and annie lenox covered it people would say the same, that the orignals better! btw i love both versions haha
first of all, it takes some serious balls to sing a Diva's song... but if there's anyone who has done it successfully it's Kelly Clarkson. It's a necessity to project feelings while singing this song and shes done it well. For 4 mins and 6 seconds I was truly sad. Kelly & Annie rock!
